The FIRST Robotics Competition game for 2017 was “Steamworks”.
2017 Robot: “Sheriff”
Sheriff, our first robot, was designed for FIRST Steamworks. It picks up gears from the hoppers on the opponent’s side of the field and delivers them to the lift station using pistons that open and close the door that holds the gear. It can also deliver a gear to the lift station in autonomous mode. At the end of the game, Sheriff climbs the rope through a Velcro shaft which spins and pulls the robot up.
